
French:
French is a Romance language spoken, around the world, by about 130 million people as a first language, by 190 million as a second language, and by about another 200 million people as an acquired foreign language, with significant speakers in 54 countries. Most native speakers of the language live in France, where the language originated. The rest live essentially in Canada (Quebec), Belgium, Switzerland, Francophone Africa, Luxembourg, and Monaco. Most second-language speakers of French live in Francophone Africa, arguably exceeding the number of native speakers. The Democratic Republic of the Congo is the Francophone country with the largest population.
French is a descendant of the Latin language of the Roman Empire. Its development was also influenced by the native Celtic languages of Roman Gaul and by the Germanic language of the post-Roman Frankish invaders.
It is an official language in 29 countries, most of which form what is called, in French, “La Francophonie”, the community of French-speaking nations. German has its roots in the West Germanic language family and has expanded its vocabulary with Greek, Latin and French words. Spanish
Spanish, a language of romance is one of the modern spoken forms of Latin and is spoken in the larger part of the Iberian or westerly peninsula of Europe. While Spanish is originated from Spain, it is also the official language of Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Cuba, the Dominican Republic, Ecuador, El Salvador, Equatorial Guinea, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Uruguay, and Venezuela. Arabic:
The Arabic language is spoken by almost 200 million people in more than twenty two countries around the world. It is the primary language in Iran, Morocco, Iraq, Somalia and Sudan among others. Arabic is the language used in the Quran, the Holy book of Islam. It is thought to be one of the first languages in all Muslim countries throughout the world. The Arabic language is known to have originated in Saudi Arabia, in pre-Islamic times and has since spread rapidly across countries in the Middle East It belongs to the Semitic group of languages which also includes Hebrew and Amharic, the main language of Ethiopia.
There are many Arabic dialects. Classical Arabic – the language of the Qur'an – was originally the dialect of Mecca in what is now Saudi Arabia. An adapted form of this, known as Modern Standard Arabic, is used in books, newspapers, on television and radio, in the mosques, and in conversation between educated Arabs from different countries (for example at international conferences).. Local dialects vary, and a Moroccan might have difficulty understanding an Iraqi, even though they speak the same language.
Chinese:
Mandarin is the main language and the most widely spoken of all Chinese language dialects. It is used by more than 70 percent of the population, in a huge area of the mainland running diagonally from the extreme southwest to Manchuria and also along the entire east coast north of Shanghai. To generalize, most of China, with the exception of the southeastern provinces speaks Mandarin. Other areas are where Mandarin is spoken lay in the far west. A substantial number of speakers are in Taiwan, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Russia, the US, Mongolia, Vietnam, Brunei, South Africa, Thailand, Laos, Cambodia and Hong Kong. The total number of speakers is exceeds 885 million.

Italian:
Italian is a Romance language spoken by about 60 million people in Italy, and by a total of around 70 million in the world. In Switzerland, Italian is one of four official languages. It is also the official language of San Marino, as well as the primary language of Vatican City. Standard Italian, adopted by the state after the unification of Italy, is based on Tuscan (in particular on the dialects of the city of Florence) and is somewhat intermediate between the Italo-Dalmatian languages of the South and the Gallo-Romance Northern Italian languages. Its development was also influenced by the other Italian dialects and by the Germanic language of the post-Roman barbaric invaders but first and foremost it has been directly and heavily influenced by Latin.

Dutch:
Dutch is a West Germanic language spoken by over 22 million people as a native language and over 5 million people as a second language. Most native speakers live in the Netherlands, Belgium, and Suriname, with smaller groups of speakers in parts of France, Germany and several former Dutch colonies. It is closely related to other West Germanic languages (e.g., English and German) and somewhat more remotely to the North Germanic languages.

Japanese:
Japanese is a language spoken by over 130 million people in Japan and in Japanese emigrant communities. It is related to the Japonic-Ryukyuan languages. Its relationships with other languages remain undemonstrated. It is an agglutinative language and is distinguished by a complex system of honorifics reflecting the hierarchical nature of Japanese society, with verb forms and particular vocabulary to indicate the relative status of the speaker, the listener, and a person mentioned in conversation (regardless of their presence). The sound inventory of Japanese is relatively small, and it has a lexically distinct pitch-accent system.

Portuguese and Brazilian Portuguese:
Portuguese is a Romance language that originated in what is now Galicia and northern Portugal. It is derived from the Latin spoken by the Romanized Pre-Roman peoples of the Iberian Peninsula around 2000 years ago. It spread worldwide in the 15th and 16th centuries as Portugal established a colonial and commercial empire (1415–1999) which spanned from Brazil in the Americas to Goa and other parts of India, Macau in China and Timor. Today it is one of the world's major languages, ranked 6th according to number of native speakers (around 230 million). It is the language of about half of South America, even though Brazil is the only Portuguese-speaking nation in the Americas.

Russian:

Russian is spoken as a fast language by about 170 million people spoken by an additional 100 million as a second language in the Commonwealth countries of Independent States (of the former Soviet Union and of Eastern Europe.) Russian is one of the languages of the world and officially used by the United Nations. Korean:
Korean is the official language of North Korea and South Korea. It is also one of the two official languages in the Yanbian Korean Autonomous Prefecture in China. There are about 78 million Korean speakers. It was formerly written using Hanja, borrowed Chinese characters pronounced in the Korean way. In the 15th century a national writing system was developed by Sejong the Great, currently called Hangul. Linguists believe that Korean is a member of the Altaic family of languages, which originated in northern Asia and includes the Mongol, Turkic, Finnish, Hungarian, and Tungusic (Manchu) languages. Korean is extremely sensitive to the nuances of hierarchical human relationships. Koreans possess what is sometimes called "polite" or "honorific" language, the uses of different levels of speech while addressing persons of superior, inferior, or equal rank.

Danish:
Danish is one of the North Germanic languages (also called Scandinavian languages), a sub-group of the Germanic branch of the Indo-European languages. It is spoken by around 6 million people, mainly in Denmark; the language is also used by the 50,000 Danes in the northern parts of Schleswig-Holstein in Germany where it holds the status of minority language.

Finnish:
Finnish is the language spoken by the majority of the population in Finland and by ethnic Finns outside of Finland. It is one of the official languages of Finland and an official minority language in Sweden. In Sweden, both standard Finnish and Meänkieli, a Finnish dialect, are spoken. The Kven language, which is closely related to Finnish, is an official minority language in Norway. Finnish is the eponymous member of the Finno-Ugric language family and is typologically between fusional and agglutinative languages.
